Mount Frissell Panorama

The actual highpoint of the state of Connecticut, marked by the benchmark visible at the bottom of this panorama, is a hundred yards or so back to the right. However, that spot is so brushy that it affords little view of the slopes of Mt. Frissell. Instead, I chose this spot for my Connecticut panorama, looking out over the forests of Massachusetts (to the left) and Connecticut (to the right).

Of course, the summit, proper, is on the Massachusetts side of the state line, so the Connecticut highpoint is where the state line intersects the ridge leading south from the summit.
